We have all heard of hackers breaking into online accounts. No matter what we do online there is always a chance of being hacked. Using strong passwords and a good WordPress plugin helps.

On all of the WordPress websites I build I use “Login LockDown” to prevent brute force password discovery.
Login LockDown records the IP address and time-stamp of every failed login attempt. If more than a certain number of attempts are detected within a short period of time from the same IP range, then the login function is disabled for all requests from that range.
