Often a Utah Web Design will require finding free images. I am not a big fan of stock images so I have some free image resources that I like to use:
Imagebase – http://www.imagebase.net/:
David Niblack has put together a sight with his own unique photography. You can use these free images for personal, commercial, non-profit, artistic, or creative purposes.
David has a few exceptions:
- Please do not combine the photos with illicit or for any kind of pornographic purposes.
- Please do not resell the images as they are. If you make alterations to them or combine them
with other photos, then they can be resold.
Stock Photos For Free – Register to download royalty free images from http://www.stockphotosforfree.com/
The 100,000 photos you download from StockPhotosforFree.com come with a royalty-free license allowing you to use them in all types of projects (commercial or non-commercial), for worldwide distribution, forever. There are never any licensing fees. Literally the only thing you can’t do with our photos is redistribute them or sell them as stand alone stock photos.
As always, be sure to read the licensing agreement.
Pick Jumbo –http://picjumbo.com/
Viktor Hanacek has put together a nice collection made up of mostly his own work. Totally free photos for your commercial and personal works.
Remember to donate to Viktor and do not resell these photos or put them on a free photo site.
You will find a whole new list of free photo resources at YouZign.com.
Now you must optimize your photos ready for the web. Images that are too big or have not been stripped of unnecessary file size.
Hope you find these free image resources as a way to bring life to your website, infograhics, video and offline media.
