Utah Web Design Tools of The Trade

Over the past 5 years Utah Web Design has changed tremendously! There is much more competition and websites are more beautiful than ever.

I wanted to start out this blog with some of the website publishing and design tools I use.

You can outsource various jobs on Fiverr. There are some really good gigs and some not so good gigs. One of my favorite gig is from a MSBooker. I have used her to transcribe hand written text, video and images of menus. She does excellent work very fast! https://www.fiverr.com/msbooker

I love YouZign graphics tool. It is easy peasy for creating Facebook, Twitter and G+ covers. It is perfect for creating ebook covers and infographics. In just a few minutes I can design banners for blogs and graphics for video.

To optimize my images for the web I use ImageOptim. It is a free drag and drop tool that makes images take up less disk space and load faster. ImageOptim is lossless — it compresses image files without changing pixels.

You can quickly choose colors for your designs with ColorZilla for both Firefox and Chrome. The simple eyedropper helps select the colors and create your own palettes with color codes.

And of course WordPress. You have two choices when it comes to WordPress. The self hosting platform at WordPress.org which gives you the most choices for design and SEO. The platform software is free but you must find your own hosting.
